Halo 3 Commercial Using 3D Printed Action Figures

If there's any industry that's big enough to rival Hollywood then it's the gaming industry. Following our last blog post – here is the TV commercial produced for the Halo 3 computer game. Faced with a very challenging 3 week production deadline, Legacy Effects – the industry leaders in live-action special effects, used their very own Objet 3D printer to help produce all 1000 (!) of the customized models that eventually made their way into this truly life-like "Believe" Diorama scene.

Jason Lopes, Lead Engineer for Legacy Effects, explains the full story behind this amazing commercial along with some great photos that you can see in the recorded webinar right here.

Wow it’s hard to believe that you guys had to take on 1,000 pieces for this project! I can still remember back in highschool when this game came out and this diagram was used to market halo. Very well done team Objet!
