3D Printing in Clear Transparency Pushes New Boundaries!

If you haven't yet created prototypes in Objet's VeroClear transparent material then you're simply letting the best things in 3D printing pass you by. This material is excellent for simulating the visual properties of glassware and PMMA and in terms of popular demand, is one of Objet's fastest growing materials.

The short video above shows how Italian 3D Printing Service Provider Fast 3D is using the material. For this particular show they've polished and spray painted the material to produce a prototype that is virtually indistinguishable from the final product.

Objet VeroClear is available on all Objet Eden and Objet Connex 3D printers. You can read more about the various applications possible with Objet VeroClear and Objet's other recently released materials in our free white paper.

(Please note – the Objet VeroClear material is not designed for drinking from!)

  • When will the clear material be available for the Alaris30u?! I've been waiting for a year since we bought our Objet for this material. We were promised it would be Fall 2011, then January 2012. Now WHEN?! We're ready to get our clear printing on!

  • You say it’s polished and in the video they said they spray painted it afterwards. Is there not a move to include some kind of colour mixing system to do this on the fly and was the polishing done on a separate machine do you know?
