Congratulations to the Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge 2013 Finalists!
We’re proud to announce the finalists in the ninth annual Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge. The contest is a dare we issue to students worldwide: Submit an innovative new product design, a redesign of an existing product, or an original or redesigned work of art or architecture.
We were blown away by the creativity and skill in this year’s entries. Choosing finalists was no small task — all participants should be extremely proud of their work.
I have participated in this contest for 7 years and each year the entries entertain and impress. Thanks to all that participated at all levels from judging to coordinating to teaching and especially entering.
Our finalists created the top ten designs each of three categories: middle school and high school engineering, college engineering, and art and architecture. Finalists will receive a 3D printed version of their design, a cash prize, and the chance to compete for three scholarship prizes in each category.
We’ve notified participants and instructors of the finalists by email — check your inboxes now! Everyone else, check out our fantastic finalists online.
Stay tuned! A panel of independent judges is hard at work selecting the top three designs in each category. Winners will take home $2,500 or $1,000 scholarships.
