Manufacturing Freedom!

statue-of-liberty As Americans celebrate Independence Day this 4th of July, we remember an iconic symbol of freedom – the Statue of Liberty. To salute this gift from France to the people of America in 1886, we 3D printed a model on a Stratasys Objet Connex multi-material 3D Printer using PolyJet rigid opaque black and white (VeroBlack and VeroWhite) materials, printed simultaneously.

By the way, it took 10 years to manufacture the original and only 10 hours to 3D print the prototype. Let freedom ring.

Happy Independence Day!

  • When I was in the sixth grade, I visited the statue of liberty. Bought a statue of liberty souvenier. I looked up at my father. It was made in Japan.
