Chinese New Year Horse 3D Printed with VeroYellow, VeroMagenta and VeroCyan in one print job on the Objet500 Connex3 Multi-material 3D Printer

Happy Chinese New Year! We’ve entered the new lunar year and this year in the Chinese zodiac is the Year of the Horse. The horse is regarded as an intelligent, elegant, energetic and reliable animal, and it signifies a successful and strong year ahead.

To kick off the Chinese New Year, Stratasys created a vibrantly colored model of a horse with our recently launched Objet500 Connex3 Color Multi-material 3D Printer. With its ability to combine vivid color, multiple materials and advanced material properties in a single print run, the Objet500 Connex3 brings beautiful designs to life, delivering unparalleled 3D printed product realism.

Designed by Arie Sztajnworc, the horse was 3D printed in a combination of  rigid opaque VeroYellow (mane and tail), VeroMagenta (body), and VeroCyan in a single print run – highlighting the multi-color options and impressive detail possible with the Objet500 Connex3. The model base combines seven different colors and the small Chinese characters around the base highlight the distinctive details possible with the Objet500 Connex3, translating in English to “Wishing you a successful year and good luck.”

So, with the good fortune of this colorful 3D printed horse, let’s make 2014 a fun, happy year. Gong Hey Fat Choy
